Received Through Bhakta Aarti Khosla Ji

We have different subjects in our lives - the physical, the emotional and the intellectual. 'They' are going to be giving you what you deserve according to the 'standard' you are in. The teacher of the subject you are weak in will thus give you a harder time! Which teacher does the student like the most? The one he/she is brilliant in! And which teacher does the student hate the most? The one who is constantly bugging him/her! But have you ever asked yourself why is that teacher bugging you? You will never admit that you are having a problem with that teacher because you are weak in that subject! That is why a student will normally have a favourite teacher, and another one whom he/she can't stand! The latter is normally the one in whose subject the student is weak in. As a result, the teacher is always goading the student! But, look at it from the teacher's point of view - is the teacher doing something good or bad for you? Good for your growth but bad for your ego! Now, if the teacher makes you stay back for detention, then it is bad for your ahankara and your body as well as now you will not be able to go out and play in the park now which is essential for your physical well being!

That is exactly what we do. To top it all, you say that you are doing everything for 'Him' thereby losing out on the learning and consequently losing out on the opportunity of growing your root and shoot! This is an opportunity for you to grow antarmukhi (introspective).

If an individual has inherent qualities which bother you, those are his personal challenges, especially if they are lessons that he has to conquer in this lifetime - the ones that have been unconquered in the past!

Maa: Who is an adult?

Various answers:

Grown up

Higher in gyan

One who can take responsibility

Maa: In gyan, when we talk about an adult we mean someone who can understand a situation from a higher perspective. So, an adult is an older soul, or a person who can translate things through gyan. For example, simply put 4=2+2. However, 4 can also be 1000-996! This can happen only when you introspect and look at things with a deeper understanding. Such a person is an adult! Which means, it does not have to do with the age. It does not have to do with being male or female. It does not have to do with your nationality. It has to do purely with your level of understanding. And that level of understanding is called consciousness, this grows only with a specific subject which must have a spiritual base. Its not about your endless degrees of learnt knowledge. It is that magnetic 'spiritual knowledge or Satsang' that provokes the higher expanded understanding to develop.
